Government Employees of Bangladesh and their Willingness to Pay for Social Health Insurance

Determining the health insurance premium is most important aspect in providing social insurance. In measuring rate, it needed to calculate cost of service. One possible methodological tool calculating contingent valuation method for evaluation consumers’ capacity and their willingness pay services. This study applied a Logit model, having binary depended variable with follow up dichotomous choice at different levels, estimate factors associated joining scheme. The found that 80.1 percent government employees Bangladesh wants on average 6.69 basic salary as premium. result shows younger peoples are less willing while older people more also revealed area residence no visit doctor play key role determining pay. should help policymakers formulate implement scheme Bangladesh.
